In 1991 The United States Congress passed the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act
decided the need for drug and alcohol free transportation and for agencies under DOT
(Department of transportation) to conduct required testing that will impact in positive way safety
to the public in any of the agencies under DOT.

Who is required to DOT drug Testing?

Any employee under DOT regulations as a “safety-sensitive” position and who who holds a job
under DOT and that involved the employee safety and the public safety well

What is a DOT Breath Alcohol Test?

BAT under DOT Is an Evidential Breath Test (Breathalyzer) required as need it for any agencies
under regulated safety-sensitive employees.

No, Urine concentrations of THC above the cut-off sensitivity level of the test, or a positive
result, is not possible by exposure to second hand smoke.

What does Dilute specimen means?

A urine specimen that has a higher concentration of water than that of a normal urine specimen.
Dilution could cause by oral hydration of fluids and the specimen appearance appear to be clear
than normal urine. Some type of medications and medical conditions can also produce dilute
results however, it is also possible that donor’s can intentionally ingest large amounts of water
to manipulate the detection of of drugs in the specimen.

What is the turnaround for final results?

Typically Laboratory Drug Testing and Alcohol Negative final results are delivery between 2-4 business days. Positive results requires drug or alcohol confirmation as well Medical Review report involving extra time, but in most scenarios no more that 7 business days.
